Volunteer

Spending time with the animals is crucial to their emotional well-being, and it allows them to grow and gain confidence while they wait for their new families. Volunteer opportunities are available for cleaning, feeding, and even playing with the animals at Cause for Critters.

Cat volunteers must be 16 years or older. Dog volunteers must be 18 years or older. Children are permitted to join as long as the shift is primarily done by the certified volunteer. Criminal Record Checks must be provided. Training sessions will be completed before the first volunteer shift.

Foster

Cause for Critters loves their foster families! Fostering a pet costs you nothing, but it means the world to the animals of our shelter. We are always in need of temporary homes for all kinds of animals.

Donate

Donations are accepted in all forms: cash, cheque, card, and e-transfer to causeforcrittersdv@gmail.com. All donations over $50 are eligible for a tax receipt.(Must be requested)

Special Events

Cause for Critters loves community events! In the past, we have hosted occasions such as Santa Paws, Raise The Woof, paint nights, cat yoga, and annual adoption events.
